Good Facial Care Regimen

!±8± Good Facial Care Regimen

Just as all people are different, so is their skin type. Your skin type plays a big role in determining a good facial care regimen. Your face requires a lot more care than other areas of your body because it is constantly exposed to weather, pollution, and sunlight. All of these factors damage your skin. Most men and women know the basics of skin care, however many do not use a daily regimen. Taking care of your skin can allow you to look and feel great. You should have a morning and nightly regimen that you stick to. This is a loose guide to follow and should be altered depending on your skin type.

Steaming

Steam allows your pores to open to allow a deeper cleaning. You can use a facial steamer or simply use a warm washcloth. Wring the excess water from the cloth and lay it over your face. Allow to set for at least a minute or two. Another easy way is simply taking a hot shower. If you use the shower for this step, be sure to continue on to cleansing immediately after you get out.

Cleansing

Use a gentle face wash that is recommended for your skin type. Use the recommended amount into the palm of your hand and lather it with warm water. In a circular motion massage the cleanser onto your face and neck. Rinse your face and neck, then pat dry.

Toning

Toning is important because it removes any dirt or residue that may have been left from cleansing. The toner also ensures that any soap residue is fully removed. Squirt the recommended amount onto a cotton ball and wipe your face and neck.

Moisturizing

To ensure that your skin is hydrated you should use a good moisturizer that works for your skin type. In the morning you may want to use a moisturizer that includes SPF. In the evening you can use sweet almond oil in place of a normal moisturizer. Sweet almond oil is great for your skin. A good facial care regimen also includes exfoliating and/or masking on a regular basis, around once a week. With a good regimen you can age much more gracefully as well as have beautiful, glowing skin.

Product Review - Andis 1' Nano-Silver Tourmaline Wet Or Dry Ceramic Flat Iron

!±8± Product Review - Andis 1' Nano-Silver Tourmaline Wet Or Dry Ceramic Flat Iron

Why Do I need it?

There is no question about it, today the flat iron has become a part of everyone's daily routine and most people are embracing the change with open arms. Most people even use their flat iron on weekends and lazy days as it keeps the hair clean-cut and manageable. Thus far however, there has been a problem with flat irons. Most people have to get out of the shower and blow dry their hair before straightening, not only causing them more time but their hair double the damage. Which is why Andis 1' Nano-Silver Tourmaline Wet or Dry Ceramic Flat Iron has come to use.

The Rain or Shine Theory

The rain or shine theory simply put means that whether your hair is wet or dry has no impact on when and how the Andis wet or dry flat iron works. You can use it when you get out of the shower or when you wake up to curl, flip, or straighten your hair without a problem. Your hair not only will be saved the double damage of blow drying and straightening at the same time but also will be smoothed and cleansed with the nano-silver technology made with actual silver. Tourmaline crystals are used in the plates to distribute negative eons to your hair making your hair more easily sealed and protected from frizz and damage while the 20 heat settings provide something for all hair types.

Key Points

* Smoothes and Seals in shine with Tourmaline Crystal technology
* Uses real silver to remove bacteria and lock in moisture
* Works on wet or dry hair with the same high quality results
* Heats as high as 400 degrees and has twenty different settings for any hair type

T3 Flat Iron - Why They Are Highly Regarded

!±8± T3 Flat Iron - Why They Are Highly Regarded

If you've already read flat iron reviews in magazines or online, you'll have seen that T3 flat irons get very high marks. They've also received endorsements from many top stylists. To understand why, you have to understand the technical innovations that have gone into making these hair straighteners.

The brand is a very recent new comer to the world of hair care products as it wasn't until 2004 that it burst onto the scene. Right away it was obvious the company took hair care products seriously. It was one of the very first to make a tourmaline flat iron.

Tourmaline is a semi-precious gem that naturally emits 6 times more negative ions than does ceramic. Tourmaline is crushed and infused onto ceramic plates in straighteners and hair dryers. Negative ions have been believed for years to help promote health and youth - and it isn't all just hype either; negative ions have been shown to break down large water droplets into micro-droplets which are absorbed into hair follicles. This means that as you straighten hair, water is 'forced' into your hair, which not only gives makes it silky and shiny, it helps prevent it from heat damage.

The T3 Tourmaline flat iron has been a best seller since its launch. There are two models available; 1" and 1 3/8" plates. Both have variable heat control with a maximum temperature of 410F (210C).

Wet to Dry flat irons are becoming more popular which isn't surprising as you don't have to first blow dry hair, which saves time and reduces heat damage to hair. The plates are 1 3/8" and come with special channels and vents that allow excess moisture to be drained and evaporated away. Like all T3 flat irons the plates are tourmaline.

The wet to dry model has been out a while now without any re-design. It's still a good hair styler but other brands are now producing newer models that it many ways are superior. Take for instance the CHI wet to dry hair straightener. It comes with a digital monitor that allows you to set and monitor the temperature to your exact setting. It also comes with automatic shut off and ionic technology to help smooth and straighten hair.

The CHI wet to dry is a better appliance than the T3. However, the CHI retails for around 5, whereas the T3 is cheaper, retailing for around 5.

Whichever model of T3 flat iron you choose, you'll be getting a very good product that has received glowing reviews over the last few years. Stylists like Luke O'Connor from Lukaro Salon, Beverly Hills, uses one and has this to say: 'I use it on the set of Will and Grace and in the salon and really love it. It's fantastic and I use it on all my celebrity clients.'

My only concern is that the T3 may soon be seen as outdated. Many new models like the Corioliss and CHI Nano Ceramic Digital flat iron use something called Nan Silver Technology. This latest innovation kills 99% of bacteria found on the plates, which helps to keep hair cleaner, shinier and straighter. I just hope that we'll be seeing a new model of T3 flat iron soon that offers us something innovative and excites us like its original hair straighteners did.

Jilbere Flat Iron - The Best, Cheap Flat Iron You Can Buy

!±8± Jilbere Flat Iron - The Best, Cheap Flat Iron You Can Buy

Not everyone can afford or wants to spend over 0 for a flat iron from brands like CHI, HAI or GHD. Well, the good news is, you can buy a flat iron from Jilbere at about half the price of these other brands, and you'll be buying an excellent styling tool.

Jilbere de Paris has been around for quite some time and makes a variety of hair care products. Among them is its range of hair straighteners. And, for the price tag, you'd be hard-pressed to find better. True, you can buy better, without doubt T3 and CHI are better but they also cost way over 0. You won't get tourmaline and nano-silver technology but you will get other features that are missing from its more expensive competitors.

What you do get is high-grade ceramic plates. Ceramic is used because it heats up in seconds, maintains an even temperature over the entire surface area of the plate, and produces lots of negative ions. The ions break down water drops into droplets, that significantly reduces the time taken to straighten hair, and the droplets are small enough that they can be absorbed in the shaft of each hair, which helps to re-hydrate your hair helping to avoid heat damage and frizz.

But, if there was one feature that stands out it has to be the amount of heat settings available with each tool. There are 25 in all. Try comparing this to CHI, T3 and GHD flat irons that come with only 3 to 5 temperature settings. With so many settings you can fine-tune the temperature to the exact needs of your hair type.

This is the biggest outstanding feature of any Jilbere hair straightener in my opinion.

However, what I also like is that you can choose from a variety of models; from ceramic, nano tech digital to wet-to-dry. Again, many other more expensive brands don't offer such a wide range to choose from. The wet-to-dry is a very nice styler and compares well to other brands - it's as good as the Maxiglide though not as good as the (more expensive) T3 wet-to-dry iron.

Of the models available, the Jilbere Nano Tech Digital flat iron is the top pick. It not only looks stylish but it delivers beautifully stylish results. If you're looking for a cheap option, this has to be one of the best flat irons currently available: definitely worth a serious look.

Hair Expert's Advice - Dealing With Different Hair Types

!±8± Hair Expert's Advice - Dealing With Different Hair Types

Only a few chosen ones are lucky enough to have perfect beautiful hair. The rest of either has dry, brittle, coarse, dull, greasy or thinning hair that hardly calls for a celebration. In fact, there are people who detest their own hair, wishing they own a head of a different person.

But those who have less than perfect hair condition should not lose hope. There are various things you can do to deal with whatever unsightly hair type that you have and improve it to achieve a glorious looking mane that you will surely be proud of.

Dry Hair

This type is usually the effect of shampoo and hard-water particle build-up that deprives your hair the sheen and shine that you have always wanted. To solve this condition, use a shampoo that is specifically designed for dry hair. You can also clean it with a mixture of plain apple-cider vinegar and water, which is effective in restoring the acid mantle. The acid mantle contributes greatly to healthy scalp and shiny hair.

Moreover, you should also make it a habit to deep condition it from within at least once a week. An intensive moisturizing conditioner will do the trick. A monthly hot oil treatment will enhance the results further.

Frizzy

A rich moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is an effective solution for your frizzy hair. It is also important to get a haircut suitable for your type and this means that you should stay away from those that have too many layers.

You can also remove the frizz by using high quality hair irons. Remember, you need to use one that is either ceramic or tourmaline such as T3 wet to dry because this is efficient in getting rid of frizz. Cheap generic ones that are not capable of sustaining constant heat will only damage your tresses.

Make sure you dry it thoroughly before using a hair iron. Using it even on a slightly damp hair can give it more frizzes. But if you are the kind of person who is always on the go, you might want to consider the T3 wet to dry straightener, which you can use even on damp hair.

Greasy

Contrary to popular belief, daily washing is not helpful to oily hair because this only over stimulates the sebaceous glands that secrete more oil . It is better to wash your hair every other day and avoid rubbing your scalp too much.

Wash it with a mild-ph balanced shampoo and apply conditioner on the mid and ends of the hair and not at the roots. It would also help if you would avoid oily and fatty foods in your diet because they contribute to greasier hair.

Thinning Hair

As for thinning hair, the best way to handle it is to stay away from stiff nylon brushes, tight braids, ponytails, rollers, rubbing of scalp vigorously, heat generating hair appliances, and hairstyles that can put pressure onto it. Drop some essential oils on it such as jojoba oil, tea tree and rosemary to encourage scalp nourishment.

Even though you have dry, greasy, frizzy, or thinning hair, it does not mean you cannot have it beautiful someday. Follow these tips and look forward to having glorious hair in no time.

Jilbere De Paris Flat Irons - The Best Flat Iron in Its Price Category

!±8± Jilbere De Paris Flat Irons - The Best Flat Iron in Its Price Category

If you are looking to buy a flat iron that's inexpensive but won't ruin your hair then you should seriously consider a Jilbere de Paris hair straightener. They're half the price of brands such as CHI and T3 and are quite simply the best flat iron in its price category.

You'll pay as little as for a Jilbere flat iron - compared to over 0 for a CHI - but you'll still get many features you'd expect of more expensive models. For one thing, the temperature control of its straighteners is second-to-none. Each model comes with a maximum temperature of around 440F and with an astonishing 25 heat settings - compare this to CHI, GHD and most other brands where you only get around 3 or 5 heat settings.

All models also come with "diamond hard" ceramic plates that not only allow your hair to gently pass through snag free but will give your hair plenty of negative ions that help to re-hydrate hair and lock in moisture.

Another real plus point is that you have various types to choose from. For most hair types the Jilbere Ceramic Pro with 1" plates is ideal. For longer or coarser hair you can opt for the 1 1/2". If you're someone who likes wet-to-dry models then the Jilbere wet-to-dry is definitely worth taking a look at. It has a vented channel system to allow excess water to evaporate and it's a very light hair tool - lighter than the Maxiglide. In my opinion the T3 wet-to-dry is superior but it costs an awful lot more.

But, the jewel in the crown, in my opinion, has to be the Jilbere Nano Tech Digital 1" flat iron. It's a very stylish looking appliance and it lives up to its promise of delivering salon-perfect results each time you use it. The LED heat controls are easy to use and allow you to fine tune the temperature to your hair's needs.

Of course there are things that you're not going to get in this price range. Tourmaline is one such. This crystal is now coated onto the ceramic plates of more expensive brands. Tourmaline increases the amount of negative ions produced - up to 5 times more than ceramic - and the more negative ions your hair receives the better the results.

But tourmaline aside, you'd find it difficult to find a better flat iron than a Jilbere for the same price. It may not be the very best flat iron you can buy but it certain is at its price.

CHI Straightening Irons Review

!±8± CHI Straightening Irons Review

Do you constantly find yourself with a bad hair day almost every day? If you want to tame your frizzy hair but you don't want to subject your hair to chemical treatment, don't worry because there is another alternative. Contrary to popular belief, ironing your hair isn't as harmful as it was previously thought to be.

As a matter of fact, CHI straightening irons make your hair even healthier, shinier, and softer whenever you use it to style your hair. Previously, when people think of straightening irons, they just imagine hot metal on your hair, an awful lot of smoke coming out from it, and a deadly hiss that is thought to be the individual strands of hair screaming out for mercy.

But all that has changed with the technology that is used in making different CHI hair products. For one thing, their straightening irons and curling irons are already made of ceramic. This material has infrared which penetrates the inside of the hair strand without damaging it from the heat. The outcome of this technology is that you won't have to spend too long ironing or curling your hair, plus the result is much softer and silky hair.

CHI straightening irons also have features that make it very user-friendly. There are even models that are already cordless so you won't have to worry about tangled wires while styling your hair. Plus, sometimes they also give out freebies along with your purchase.

So if you are looking for an alternative to chemical treatment in straightening or curling your hair, why not try the CHI hair products? You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Just think that you owe it to your hair to be treated and styled nicely without damaging it further.
